Part-Time Spanish Teacher for Grades K-5 at Buckhead Prep
Are you passionate about teaching Spanish to young learners? Do you possess the skills to engage and inspire students in language acquisition? Buckhead Prep seeks a dynamic and dedicated part-time Spanish teacher to join our team!


Responsibilities:

  • Teach Spanish basics to students in grades K-5.
  • Develop engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to various abilities.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment conducive to language acquisition.
  • Implement effective classroom management techniques to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
     

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Spanish, or related field.
  • Previous teaching experience, preferably in a K-5 setting.
  • A fluent speaker of Spanish with a strong understanding of Spanish grammar and vocabulary.
  • Proficient in English to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff.
  • Patient, kind, and empathetic demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language (e.g., TESOL, TEFL, CELTA).
  • Experience with incorporating technology and multimedia resources into language instruction.
  • Knowledge of culturally relevant materials and activities to enhance language learning.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of best practices in language education.

Kindergarten Lead Teacher at Buckhead Prep

Position Overview:
We seek a highly qualified and dedicated Kindergarten Lead Teacher to join our team. This role is responsible for developing and implementing a dynamic, hands-on, and literacy-rich learning experience for young learners. The Kindergarten Lead Teacher reports to the Head of School and collaborates with an Associate Teacher to ensure a supportive and engaging classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with Buckhead Prep’s curriculum and academic standards.
  • Utilize structured literacy, phonics-based reading instruction, and play-based learning to foster early academic success.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters independence and a love for learning.
  • Establish strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student growth.
  • Communicate student progress clearly and effectively through formal reports, emails, and meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Teacher to ensure small-group instruction and individualized student support.
  • Implement and reinforce positive classroom management strategies to encourage respectful and responsible behavior.
  • Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • State teaching certification for Kindergarten or Early Childhood Education.
  • Experience with structured literacy approaches, such as Orton-Gillingham or Science of Reading methods, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Singapore Math or a strong conceptual math approach is preferred.
  • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt to various learning styles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for early childhood education and fostering foundational academic and social-emotional skills.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background screening, drug testing, and safety training is required.

We seek a highly qualified and dedicated Elementary School Associate Teacher to join our team at Buckhead Prep. The Associate Teacher will assist a Lead Teacher in developing and implementing an appropriate instructional program that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. The Associate Teacher will work under the supervision of the Elementary School Principal.

  • Support and implement lesson plans and monitor student performance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional activities and the environment

  • Update and maintain student academic records and performance metrics
  • Communicate regularly with colleagues regarding student progress
  • Provide an engaging and positive learning environment that encourages student success
  • Maintain discipline following the School’s code of conduct
  • Prepare the classroom for class activities
  • Maintain and update bulletin boards to showcase student’s artwork
  • Maintain a safe environment by supervising students on the playground
  • Other duties, as assigned by the the Head of School

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Education or related field
  • Proven track record of being proactive and dynamic teaching style
  • Ability to work collaboratively with classroom Lead teachers and the Elementary School team to innovate instructional programs and teaching methods
  • Strong skills in using differentiated instruction to reach all types of learners
  • Experience in delivering student-centered teaching, positive classroom management, and imaginative assessment methods
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background screening, drug testing, and safety training required
