Excellence by design.
Buckhead Prep provides a cohesive academic journey across two divisions: Primary (18 months – 5 years) and Elementary (Kindergarten – 5th Grade).
Our curriculum builds rock-solid foundational skills while keeping the joy of learning alive. For families seeking a year-round option, our Summer Program offers continuity and enrichment for students of all ages.

Primary Division
Our "Crystal" Model
We believe early literacy is the key that unlocks everything else. Our unique program creates a fast, clear path to reading readiness.
What makes us different? We combine highly structured lessons with warm, relational teaching. We don't just teach kids how to read; we make them feel safe and confident enough to take risks and grow.
How We Teach
- Fast & Fun: We introduce letter sounds in brisk, high-energy groups to keep momentum high and boredom low.
- Step-by-Step: Nothing is random. We teach skills in a specific order: hearing sounds, decoding words, then writing them.
- Short, Daily Lessons: We use brief, focused sessions every day. This maximizes focus without tiring the child out.
- Writing to Read: We teach writing early because spelling words helps children understand how to read them.

Elementary Division
In the Elementary grades, we take those strong foundational skills and put them to work. Our curriculum combines rigorous core subjects with creative projects that require students to think, build, and present.
Literacy & Writing
Grades K-2: We use UFLI Foundations to ensure every child masters phonics and decoding.
Grades K-5: Students don't just read textbooks; they explore literature and write across genres. We connect writing topics to science and history, so students are constantly reinforcing what they learn.
Mathematics
We use Singapore Math, a world-class program that focuses on truly understanding numbers, not just memorizing formulas.
We supplement this with Freckle, a tool that helps students practice their skills until they are fluent.
Signature Projects
We believe students learn best when subjects are connected. Our "Integrated Units" combine science, social studies, and writing into big themes that end with a real-world project.
