It has been over a year since the global pandemic quickly changed our reality.  As we make decisions in every facet of our planning at Buckhead Prep, we are always mindful of our mission and of our core values.  The safety, security, and happiness of each child are always our greatest priorities. Next is our commitment to preparing each child for the next level of education with solid reading, handwriting, and math skills and an understanding of many facets of their world.  In tandem with working towards our mission, we have fun together.

 

Like all schools, we have navigated so much uncertainty over the past year.  With cautious optimism and a great deal of guidance from the healthcare community, we reinstated in person instruction in May, 2020.  At the request of parents in the community, we returned to our original plan of serving elementary students in addition to Toddlers through Kindergarten.  I am so grateful to our students, parents, teachers, and staff for integrating our new safety protocol so that we have been able to serve families and remain open safely.  The teachers and reading team have shown extraordinary dedication in helping the children not only re-acclimate to school but to quickly make up and surpass any lost ground in their academic skills that the pandemic may have caused. Our parents demonstrated great trust in giving us time with their children during such an uncertain period.  It is also remarkable that, even though their entire world changed with very little notice, the children have shown tremendous resilience, an eagerness to learn and grow, and great joy every day.

 

Buckhead Preparatory School is expanding with the addition of third grade in the 2021-2022 academic year and fourth grade in 2022-2023.  As we continue to grow, we will continue to work each day to teach each child and will never compromise our commitment to educate your child, nurture their development, and to help them prepare for their next challenge.
