I was over at our neighbors house yesterday afternoon and they have twins in 2nd grade.  One of the twins was doing his homework and he said to my four-year-old daughter, "do you know what a verb is?"  and without missing a beat she said, "Yes!  It is an action word!”  Then he said the same about a noun.... once again she said without hesitation "a person, place or thing!”  Needless to say he was quite surprised!  So awesome :)
