The Buckhead Prep learning programs are designed with your child in mind.  Our curriculum combines interactive learning, dedicated teachers, and your child's natural curiosity.  The unique personality and learning style of your child is incorporated into a customized experience that makes learning fun.

Who We Are

Tammy Wingate received a B.A. degree in education from Atlantic Christian College in North Carolina where she received the Women of the Albemarle Presbytery Scholarship and was initiated into Delta Zeta sorority.  She earned a MA degree in education from New York University where she received the Peter L. Agnew Award for scholarship and leadership and was inducted into Phi Delta Kappa honor fraternity.  She also earned an MBA degree from the University of Georgia where she also completed a year of doctoral studies in education.  At UGA, she received a women’s program scholarship and was inducted into the Phi Sigma Pi management honor fraternity.  Tammy has over 18 years experience in  teaching, developing curriculum, and educational administration. She is also a published writer.  She lives with her husband and family in Buckhead; her son attends Woodward Academy and her daughter is a senior at Cornell University.

Kristin Grant has an extensive background in early childhood education. She and her family have been opening exceptional preschools along the eastern seaboard since 1959. Kristin has been working as a reading specialist for nearly a decade, and she continues to act as a curriculum consultant for her family’s schools. She holds a Bachelors in English from the University of Georgia, a Masters in Education from Loyola College in Maryland, and is certified in Primary Education (ages 2 ½ - 6) by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) in the Netherlands. Kristin and her husband live in Marietta with their border collie – the three of them enjoy going on long walks and traveling.
